Image quality
A 9-bladed circular aperture helps to separate your subject from its surroundings and create beautiful background blur. Integrated, specialised UD lens elements, also help to reduce chromatic aberration, and retain high resolution, high quality images throughout the zoom range.
Sophisticated optics, including an ultra low dispersion (UD) lens element, ensure great image quality with high contrast and resolution throughout the zoom range, even in tough shooting conditions.

Nano USM

An innovative Lens Information Display has been positioned at the top of the lens to show key information at a glance, even in poor lighting conditions. This is incredibly useful if you’re shooting a movie using live view to ensure your shot is steady, and also allows you to check the focus distance and depth of field at the various apertures.

Image Stabiliser
The Image Stabilizer in EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM reduces camera shake by up to 4-stops, allowing you to use a shutter speed 4 stops slower than you would otherwise have to use in order to achieve a sharp shot.
